The retreat, an annually planned event, will be co-led by Valerie York-Zimmerman, founder of Miami Mindfulness, and Sharon Theroux, founder of South Florida Center for Mindfulness. Both teachers are certified to teach MBSR by the Oasis Institute at the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Healthcare and Society at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.

...to join us for our next 5-Day Silent Mindfulness Retreat which honors the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) principles developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn.

Developing essential mindfulness skills through teacher-led silent mindfulness retreats is important. These skills are required for MBSR Teachers and Teachers-in-Training. 

DETAILS

  • FEES
    • Early bird (on or before 11/15/18): $940 double occupancy and $1,115 for single occupancy.
    • After 11/15/18:$1,050 double occupancy and $1,225 single occupancy.   
  • Check-in begins at 4 pm on Tuesday, January 15. Retreat ends at 1 pm Sunday, January 20.
  • Meals are included. Meals at the Duncan Conference Center will be lacto-ovo-vegetarian. Please note on your registration if you have any special dietary restrictions.
  • All rooms have a private bath. 
  • We do not plan to open the retreat to commuters because of our belief that everyone participate fully to benefit more deeply from our offering. If you would like to leave your name and contact info in the event that changes, you are welcome to do so.
