MBSR:

  • Orientation: 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 20, 2018. 
  • Class 1 - Class 8:  6:00 - 8:30 p.m., Thursdays, Sept. 27 - Nov. 15, 2018.
  • All-Day Retreat:  8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018. 

Practicum includes Saturday classes:

  • Orientation:  6:00 - 8:00 p.m.Thursday, September 20, 2018, 
  • Class 1 - Class 8:  Saturday, Sept. 29 - Nov. 17, 2018, 10:00 - 1:30 p.m..
  • All-Day Retreat:  Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018.

For those seeking a 5-Day Silent MBSR (Mindfulness-Based) Retreat, Miami Mindfulness offers one every January at the Duncan Center, in Delray Beach, FL. Duncan Center is an oasis of life-giving peace and serenity in 5-wooded acres, with delicious and nutritious food, state-of-the-art meeting spaces, clean and spacious accommodations and a caring staff.

The Spring 2018 MBSR Course started with an orientation on March 1, 2018.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Course Pioneered by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn:

  • Taught by Valerie York-Zimmerman. The internationally acclaimed adult program was created by Jon Kabat-Zinn at UMass Medical Center in 1979.

  • Orientation: March 1, 2018, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
  • Schedule:
    • Time: Weekly classes are 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. (2-1/2 hours)
    • Dates:  March 8 – April 26, 2018 (eight classes).
    • Retreat: One all-day Saturday retreat.
  • Materials: Required audio files and workbook are included.
  • Fee: $600 (general public)
  • Location: Garden Sanctuary - Meditation hall in a tranquil, tropical garden setting. Free parking.
