Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Pioneered by Jon Kabat-Zinn:

Taught by Valerie York-Zimmerman. The internationally acclaimed Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program (MBSR) for adults was created by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinnat the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in 1979. MBSR is an empirically-supported, 8-week psycho-educational group intervention that teaches mindfulness meditation as a health intervention. MBSR teaches participants how to discover their own resources and possibilities for relating differently to stress from chronic physical and psychological illnesses. Eight 2-½ hour weekly classes, All-Day Retreat, audio files and Workbook.

Thursday Evenings Orientation:  March 1, 2018, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.

The All-Day Retreat is scheduled for Sunday April 15, 2018.

Classes 1 through 8:  March 8 – April 26, 6:00 – 8:30 p.m.

Tuition: $600 (general public)

Location: Garden Sanctuary - Meditation hall in a tranquil, tropical garden setting. Free parking.
